Cardboard & Paper Mâché Template by Corrie Beth Hogg

This PDF includes the templates to make a large cardboard and paper mâché jug-like shape. The final vase will be approximately 13" tall and 12" wide (with handles). You can choose to make one handle or two!

You can decorate this large vase however you like to infuse a bit of whimsy or personality into your interior design! Are you inspired by Delft? Bold stripes or checks? Petite florals? This recycled craft is a perfect opportunity for you to experiment and play. (Please keep in mind that the sample I shared here was painted in my taste and mood when I made it, but nearly anything is possible. Follow your muse! The small balls at the top edge of the sample are created with a product called Paperclay. It is available at Amazon and other art supply stores. I used glue to hold them in place before I primed and painted.)

This listing includes a cardboard and paper mâché jug/vase template. It consists of a page of instructions and ten pages of templates, plus additional tips and tricks. (It does not include painting patterns, just template shapes.)

This tutorial is written in English, and all measurements are listed in inches.

Please note: This resulting jug is not food/water safe. Paper mâché is NOT water-tight or proof. This is intended to be decorative. There is space inside to insert a glass or plastic cylinder.

This project will take you a few afternoons to complete due to the drying time for the paper mache and how complex/simply you decide to paint it.

You will need a PDF reader such as Acrobat 5 (or similar) to open the PDF file and a printer that prints US letter size paper or A4 paper.
