I was born in Germany in 1956. When I was 11 years old, my family emigrated to Canada, where I lived for 25 years. I’ve been a professional artist since 1990, when I started doing pencil portraits. But these days I rarely do portraits and would much prefer to paint large, colorful abstracts of cats, fish, mermaids and other creatures, real or imagined.
I’ve lived in Melbourne, Australia since 1993 and am fortunate to have my very own back yard studio, where I can paint any time I choose.

My favorite medium is watercolor, but recently I have been doing more large acrylics in response to being represented by the Clayfire Gallery in Daylesford, where my work has been selling regularly .
I regularly show and sell my work in art shows and exhibitions.
My art and designs are available as prints and many different products, such as T-shirts, journals, tote bags, phone covers, scarves and leggings, just to name a few.
These are available from ,redbubble

One of my favourite artist is the late Laurel Burch, whose work has inspired me to paint my colorful cats.
Other influences are Picasso, Paul Klee, Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O’Keefe, but I also find inspiration from many artists, traditional , contemporary or otherwise.
